Aboriginal Financial Management Educational Program

AFM On-line Courses

Five of the 14 courses that make up the Aboriginal Financial Manager (AFM) program are available online through the AFOA website. They are AFM 3 - Law; AFM 4 - Strategy & Decisions; AFM 5 - Values & Ethics in the Aboriginal Workplace; AFM 6 - Aboriginal History & Developments; and AFM 14 - Aboriginal Human & Fiscal Issues. For each date in the above schedule, all five courses will run simultaneously. Each course will run over a twelve to fifteen week period. Cost of computer and internet access is not included in the tuition fees and is the responsibility of the student. AFM 3 and AFM 6 require textbooks and are not included in the cost of the tuition. There are no text books required for AFM 4, AFM 5 and AFM 14. Schedule is subject to change.

Textbook Buyback Program

Students who participate in courses which require textbooks have the option to purchase the textbooks themselves or purchase the textbooks from AFOA Canada at the time of registration.
AFOA will have textbooks that are both new and used (used textbooks will be available at a discounted rate of up to 25% on a first come first).

At the end of the semester, should the student wish to sell their textbook back to AFOA Canada and the textbook is still the current edition being used and in excellent shape, AFOA Canada will at its discretion purchase the textbook back from the student and reimburse the student up to 50% of the original purchase price.
