1st Annual Aboriginal Youth Financial Management Conference Awards

The Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada (AFOA) and Grant Thorton LLP are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Aboriginal Youth Financial Management Conference Awards.

AFOA represents approximately 1,000 Aboriginals involved in financial management in their communities and organizations. Grant Thornton LLP is a leading Canadian Chartered Accountant and Management Consultant firm.

There is a great demand both within First Nation communities and off-reserve for Aboriginal financial management professionals. However, very few of our young people are pursuing and education in financial management after high school.

There are many opportunities for those who want to pursue this career path and there are many sources of assistance.

That is why AFOA and Grant Thornton have come together to offer the Aboriginal Youth Conference Awards in Financial Management.
