AFOA CANADA TO HONOUR ONE OUTSTANDING RECIPIENT OF THE AFOA CANADA-NUTRIEN VOLUNTEER WHO INSPIRES AWARD
Monday, September 30, 2019 – AFOA Canada and Nutrien will recognize one recipient of the AFOA Canada-Nutrien Volunteer Who Inspires Award at the President’s Reception during the AFOA Canada’s 20th Anniversary National Conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, October 10, 2019
The AFOA Canada-Nutrien Volunteer Who Inspires Award will be presented to Noelle Doucette
Noelle is the Cultural Coordinator at the Potlotek Education Office in Chapel Island, Nova Scotia. Her dedication and commitment to the community is inspiring and creates a foundation that future leaders will carry on.
“I guess I volunteer for the sense of belonging to a collective, being a part of something that is bigger than yourself and knowing that you impacted someone’s life, whether it’s teaching them something new or supporting them during a hardship” says Noelle Doucette.
“This award recognizes how people give back to communities by volunteering” says Terry Goodtrack, President and CEO of AFOA Canada “They inspire us because of their sense of the caring for others and their strong belief in the greater good in the world. It is important for us to celebrate their self-less acts of kindness.”

About the Award
Launched for the first time in 2019 for AFOA Canada’s 20th Anniversary National Conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, this award was created by AFOA Canada and Nutrien to recognize an individual who inspires, influences and has made work sustainable for future leaders in their community or organization. The recipient will be flown to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to participate in AFOA Canada's 20th National Conference and Presidents Reception.
