Bio of Catherine (Debassige) Roque, CAFM
In her current role as Manager, Aboriginal Business Services for Ontario, with BDC Aboriginal Banking, Catherine (Debassige) Roque, encourages new business relationships, and engages First Nation, Metis and Inuit entrepreneurs to access BDC’s range of services in financing and management consulting, to achieve their business objectives.
Catherine has a keen interest in building Aboriginal-owned enterprises, devoting efforts to enhancing business networks and promoting the Aboriginal entrepreneurial spirit through workshops and speaking events.
Catherine is a member of M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Laurentian University, and Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation from AFOA Canada.
Previous education includes a Business Marketing Diploma, St-Lawrence College; Business Administration-Accounting Diploma, Cambrian College; and a Certificate in International Trade, O’Sullivan College.
She is a volunteer Board member at Nickel Basin Federal Development Corporation, in Sudbury.
